Rayfast are pleased to be able to supply RF Coaxial Cable.

With Coaxial Cable there are several factors that need to be considered when finding the best for the application.

The main factor is ensuring the frequency bandwidth is maintained. With so many manufacturers having bespoke designed cables through to industry standard RG and MIL-C 17 cables, and now VG standards, the task of defining the best one for the application is generally down to the engineer’s
experience of products previously used.

The difference in loss between an RG174 and an RG213 at 1 GHz is 4 times greater, which in output power, with a 100 watt transmitter and a 10 foot cable, would mean losing 50% of your power with the RG174 and less than 20% loss in power with an RG213 cable.

In conjunction with Loss/Attenuation other considerations
to look at would be cable O/D.

To assist engineers, we offer a range of manufacturers products, working together with some of our key suppliers including; from Huber & Suhner, Amphenol CIT, PIC Wire and Cable, and Intelliconnect. This ensures that we can help with dual sourcing and lead time to meet
critical delivery schedules.

Note: Coax losses shown above are for 100 feet lengths. Loss is a length multiplier, so a 200 ft length would have twice the loss shown above and so on. This loss multiplier factor is why you should keep cable installation lengths between radios and antennas as short as practical!
